Whipton Barton Federation is proud to be a part of the Children's University scheme.

The Children's University (CU) Trust is a charitable trust that provides 7 to 14 year olds (and 5 to 6 year olds with their families) with exciting and innovative learning activities and experiences outside normal school hours. We celebrate achievement and reward participation through our certificates. Raising children's aspirations is important to us and we aim to develop the understanding that learning can be "...a satellite navigation system to better places in life…".

We offer all children in school the chance to be part of The Children’s University and when they sign up they receive a special Passport to Learning. All school clubs and many other clubs in the community are accredited, so the idea is that children collect 'stamps' for the hours that they spend learning outside of school time. When enough stamps have been collected children receive different certificates and these are presented in our celebrations assembly.
