The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers. Evidence shows that children from disadvantaged backgrounds:
generally face extra challenges in reaching their potential at school
often do not perform as well as their peers
The pupil premium grant is designed to allow schools to help disadvantaged pupils by improving their progress and the exam results they achieve.
Below are two documents which outline how we use our pupil premium grant. The first is the review of the academic year 2018/19 and the second is our working plan for the year 2019/20. Click on the links to access the documents.
