Helen Earnshaw

Parent Governor

I currently work in HR as a systems lead managing system processes, looking for efficiencies and ensuring data integrity. I started my HR career in the education sector where my role required an understanding of safer recruitment in education.

Previously, I began my working career in sport as a head coach of a badminton junior performance centre in Exeter. For 3 years I coached the U15 England juniors which involved travelling to tournaments in Europe. Sport has been a huge part of my life and I have enjoyed working with lots of young children over the years and supporting their development.

As a parent governor I am excited to support the school and positively contribute to the school community to ensure everyone has an opportunity to learn and excel.

Holly Boulton

Staff Governor

My name is Holly Boulton and I have been a teacher at Whipton Barton since 2023. I am deeply passionate about equity in education, narrowing the disadvantage gap for pupils, and raising the quality of education through curriculum design and effective teaching practice. I sought the role of Staff Governor to ensure that the strategic decisions made by the board are firmly rooted in the best interests of our children and their education, bringing the lived experience of our classrooms to inform those choices at the highest level. I am fully committed to supporting Whipton Barton in its continued growth and success for every one of its students.
